Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy of MS6 Travel and Music, a brand of MS6 Reisegesellschaft mbH
The protection of your personal data is important to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the applicable legal provisions (GDPR, Austrian Telecommunications Act 2003 [TKG 2003]). In this privacy notice, we inform you about the key aspects of data processing in connection with our website.
Contacting Us
If you contact us via the form on the website or by email, the data you provide will be stored for six months for the purpose of processing your inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent.
Data Storage
Please note that, for the purpose of simplifying the purchasing process and for subsequent contract processing, the website operator stores the IP data of the internet connection holder via cookies, as well as the buyer's name, address, contact details such as email and phone number, and credit card number. The data you provide is required for the performance of the contract or for pre-contractual measures. Without this data, we cannot conclude a contract with you. Your data is not transferred to third parties, except for the transfer of credit card data to the processing banks/payment service providers for the purpose of debiting the purchase price, to the transport/shipping company we commission for delivery of goods, and to our tax advisor to fulfill our tax obligations. If the purchase process is abandoned, the data stored with us is deleted. In the event of a concluded contract, all data from the contractual relationship is stored until the expiry of the statutory tax retention period (7 years). The data name, address, purchased goods, and purchase date are additionally stored until the expiry of the product liability period (10 years). Data processing is carried out on the basis of the statutory provisions of Section 96(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act (TKG) as well as Article 6(1)(a) (consent) and/or (b) (necessary for contract performance) of the GDPR.
Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device via your browser. They cause no damage. We use cookies to make our offering user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit.
If you do not want this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you when cookies are being set and allows you to decide whether to accept them on a case-by-case basis. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website.
Website Hosting (Wix)
Our website is operated and hosted via the platform of Wix.com Ltd. (or the applicable Wix group company). As part of this service, Wix processes personal data on our behalf, such as IP address, technical access data, and data entered through forms on our website (for example, when registering for Sea & Music programme updates). This may involve processing on servers located outside the European Union. Wix relies on Standard Contractual Clauses and other appropriate safeguards under Article 46 GDPR for this purpose. We have a corresponding data processing agreement in place with Wix.
Web Analytics
Our website uses features of the web analytics service Google Analytics. This uses cookies that enable an analysis of how users use the website. The information generated is transferred to the provider's server and stored there. Data used for analysis may also be transferred to servers outside the European Union.
You can prevent this by setting up your browser so that no cookies are stored. We have entered into a corresponding data processing agreement with the provider. Your IP address is collected but immediately pseudonymized (e.g., by deleting the last 8 bits). This makes only a rough localization possible. The relationship with the web analytics provider is based on Standard Contractual Clauses as well as — since 2023 — Google's self-certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF), which replaced the previously applicable "Privacy Shield" agreement after it was declared invalid.
Data processing is carried out on the basis of the statutory provisions of Section 96(3) TKG as well as Article 6(1)(a) (consent) and/or (legitimate interest) of the GDPR.
Our interest within the meaning of the GDPR (legitimate interest) is the improvement of our offering and our website. Because the privacy of our users is important to us, user data is pseudonymized.
Newsletter
You have the option to subscribe to our newsletter via our website. For this, we require your email address and your declaration of consent to receive the newsletter.
In order to provide you with targeted information, we also collect and process voluntarily provided details such as areas of interest, date of birth, and postal code.
Once you have signed up for the newsletter, we will send you a confirmation email with a link to confirm your registration. You may cancel your newsletter subscription at any time. Please send your cancellation to the following email address: info@ms6.at. We will then promptly delete your data associated with the newsletter distribution. This withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of consent up until the withdrawal.
Your Rights
Regarding the data stored with us, you generally have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, withdrawal, and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, or that your data protection rights have otherwise been violated in some way, you may lodge a complaint with us at info@ms6.at or with the data protection authority.
